About

We are currently in the process of reconstructing this website.  Please be praying our team has wisdom in making it's contents readable and will communicate well what is in all of our hearts for this annual prayer effort.

There is a back story with HJR 803 that brought us to the current resolution, HJR 0051, written this year, and we want to share it with you as soon as possilbe!

We'll begin by saying what the hope and purpose in all of this is...

Firstly, we are focusing on repentance foremost, based on 2 Chronicles 7:14 because it is the key to healing in our land and true revival, which begins with repentance.  Everyone agrees we sure need this!  Additionally, we want to see the Body of Christ unify.  This was Jesus' last prayer for us in John 17.  Of course, we can't unify with those who just "call" themselves Christians, as there are those who don't live what they say, and oil doesn't mix with water.  So we probably need more teaching on recognizing the "wolves" among the sheep that the New Testament warned so vividely and often about.  We need to fellowship with those who have God's heart and Spirit, and those who we can truly be unified with.

We would appreciate your prayers as we are in the process of reconstructing this website so we can share the story of how HJR 0051's call to prayer and then Pray4TN came to be.  We also want to share on the website the goals and purposes of prayer, fasting, and repentance.  Ultimately, we want to see a "harvest of souls" across Tennessee and America.  As you know, laws don't change the heart, so although we need laws and good leadership, if we lose the leaders who have common sense and a heart for God, we are left with whatever is in the hearts of the next leaders, which can be corrupt and destructive.  If people's hearts change by God's Spirit, their marriages, families, churches, cities, states, and ultimately their nations will change.  This can happen with the hope and salvation found in Jesus Christ and His gift of grace by faith alone (Ephesians 2:8-9).

So ultimately, some believers and non-believers alike need a heart change... that is our greatest hope... that people hearts are truly turned toward God and His ways!  It is then that our state and nation can exist with peace and joy at the core!

To be continued...

below is from last year...

HJR 803

In 2023, Representative Monty Fritts was led by the Holy Spirit to develop a Resolution to present before the 113th General Assembly to ask God to Help.  There was no legislation that could be offered and no financial incentives offered by the Legislature to ultimately help with all the issues in our State.

After doing research as to how many of our founding fathers called upon calling out to the most high God for help because there was no where else to turn. Rep Fritts asked several local pastors to assist with developing the Resolution.

While there could be pages and pages of issues which needs the Divine help of Almighty God a smaller list was developed.

The list included:

Violence committed upon our citizens

Violence committed by our citizens

Violent crimes in our schools

Human Trafficking

Drug addiction

Deadly Fentanyl

Driving Under the Influence

Children in foster care

Broken homes in Tennessee

Corruption in government

Then a section of Be It Resolved prescribed the period of July 1, 2024 through July 31, 2024 be recognized as a time of prayer and fasting in Tennessee. The "Be It Resolved" Statements recognize God for who He is, the Creator and King of all Glory who has the authority to judge and to bless nations and states.  The statements as the Lord Jesus to heal our land, and remove the violence, addiction, and corruption.

Senator Mark Pody asked to carry the Resolution to the Senate for their consideration. He felt like Rep Fritts the only hope we have to resolve our issues is for God's people to go to Him on our knees asking Him to resolve our issues and help us.

Please read the complete HJR803 for a complete understanding of what both Houses of the General Assembly along with the Governor has agreed to.

Thanks for submitting!
